For Memorial Day this year we decided to go down to the river on the 119 and have a bonfire complete with roasting hot dogs and s'mores!!
Dani invited some friends, most of who were out of town. Luckily one of her friends Ella was able to come join in on the fun!
The kids had fun playing in the creek, while Josh and I relaxed and got the fire started up for dinner.
Let the hot dog roasting begin!!
Seriously these were the best hot dogs I have had in a long time!!!
Josh even made a double decker out of his!
Next up was s'mores!!
Those got a little sticky, but everyone had a blast roasting and torching!!
I would say we had a great memorial day!! We are thankful for all of the soldiers who gave their lives and served to make our freedom possible.
Fun fact...last year we spent Memorial Day on this same creek....just about a mile down! Little did we know that Grandpere would purchase this property almost a year later and now we have our own personal beach!!! See here for our last years memorial day adventure!!!
