Funny Story Friday....My Personal Pooper Scooper

All of these blogs I read have a "themed" day where they post stuff on a certain day. I have decided I will have a "Funny Story Friday" and try to post a funny story every Friday about something that happened that week.....

I have a new pooper scooper around the house...

Yes that is correct, Cade has begun to reach into his diaper and pull out his poop!!! IT IS DISGUSTING!!!! He first did it when he was home with daddy one Saturday when I was working which, of course I thought was halarious!! I can just imagine Josh's face when Cade brought him his poop, makes me laugh every time!!  Well then one morning I was getting ready for work and he comes in the bathroom with his hands in the air saying "EEEWWW" and of course I took his hands and said "Gross what is all over your....AHHHH It's poop!!!!" Holding him mid air in front of me we go to his room to change his diaper as I discuss with him how gross it is to scoop your poop out of your diaper!!!! He just looked at me with this blank look...similar to the picture above like "What??!! I didn't do anything!!"....It is a good thing he is so stinking cute!!!!

9 Months!!!!

HAPPY 9 MONTH BIRTHDAY TO BROOKS!!!!

I CANNOT believe how fast time flies with these kiddos!!! Here are some fun facts/accomplishments about Brooks since our last update:

9 Month Statistics:

-Weight: 20lbs 3 oz. (50-75%)
-Height: 27 inches (10%)
-Head Circumference: 48 (97%)

Haha...my poor little man is a little disproportionate...BUT in his defense I think the length is inaccurate b/c he was SCREAMING bloody murder when we were trying to measure him....he does NOT like the doctor to touch him.... he is just going to be really smart with that big head :)

-He can pull up and stand up on EVERYTHING!!
-He can say mama, dada and bottle (more like baba)
-He scoots all over the place, still working on crawling but he likes to rock on his hands and knees
-He can get into a sitting position from laying on his tummy
-He LOVES his big brother, I love watching them play together and interact with each other!! These are the times I have been looking forward to since I found out I was pregnant with Brooks, I hope they stay best friends forever!!!
-Still not a big fan of food...still loves his bottle!!
-He can suck on a sippy cup, but does not like the result when he does :)
-EVERYTHING goes in his mouth and he still just has his two bottom teeth, but I think he will soon have more based on all of his drool lately!!
-He sleeps through the night in the same room with his brother now!!! This transition happened two weeks ago today and they have done so great with it!!! (Pics below)
-He has no fear...Josh and I have decided Cade is going to be the little daredevil and tell Brooks to do everything and Brooks is going to listen which will keep Cade in trouble and Brooks in the ER.....oh boy!!
-He is a very happy baby and it is a joy to watch him learn and grow!!!
-He loves to "talk" himself to sleep, he is a little chatterbox and is so funny when he is tired he will just close his eyes and talk away until he falls asleep, so cute!!
-He LOVES Mickey Mouse just like his brother and he loves to dance to music
-His favorite thing to play with is anything that makes a lot of noise, plastic bottles, paper, magazines (forget those toys that we pay good money for!!)

Little Brooks finally graduated from the pack and play to a real crib!!

(These are pics I took of their first night in the same room)
Cade in his big boy bed....I can't get over how little he looks in the big bed!!

Update....

Currently all is well at the Hebert household!! We had a little sick spell last weekend with Brooks. It was actually two weeks from the day that we had all gotten well...which is how it has been for the last SIX MONTHS!!!! It is just becoming a part of our lives....anways, he ran fever all weekend and wound up with a runny nose, cough, and just feeling cruddy but he got two days at home from daycare and has recovered almost completely back to my happy little man!!

Cade never got the little cold that Brooks had but we did make a trip to the ENT on Tuesday and have decided to get ear tubes put in his ears and get his adenoids removed in hopes that this will help him to not get sick as often. According to the ENT the adenoids can hold bacteria which can contribute to all the ear and sinus infections/colds that they get at this age. The surgery will take place next Friday morning (on my birthday) so we will appreciate everyone's prayers for that, you all know I will be a nervous mama that morning!!!

Cade liked this chair at the ENT office......he was such a good patient, he sat very still and clapped and said "yay" after the doctor looked in his ears....such a cutie!! Brooks on the other hand SCREAMED bloody murder when the doctor looked in his ears...poor buddy...he is a little dramatic!!

Josh pulled his back out some how last weekend but he is also doing much better. He says it is still stiff but he is recovering nicely thanks to those muscle relaxers and pain killers!! Last weekend we were at the joint adult/kids after hours clinic for his back and Brooks fever!! I tell you what, I almost feel like I could be a doctor with as much experience with sick kids I have had over the last 6 months especially!!

Other than trying to get well we overall had a good week. Mardi Gras was pretty uneventful at our house!! I got the day off since the kids didn't have daycare and we just hung around the house, got some much need R&R, ate lots of yummy king cake, went to the ENT and took a trip to the pond to feed the ducks, swords in hand....it is a good thing no one tried to mess with us :)

It is predicted to be a pretty gross weekend but hopefully Sunday we can make it to church for the first time in 5 weeks due to sick kids and other events happening!! Hopefully we all stay well this weekend, we are hoping to have a fun, relaxing weekend at home!!!

Circle of Life.....

Last weekend when we went to the camp to bury Gris Gris we did try to have a little bit of fun since it was such a pretty day. For those of you who are not aware, "the camp" is named Dogwood Creek and it is in Sulpher, LA. It is approx. 200 acres owned by Josh's parents. Josh and his dad have built a cabin, bath house and storage shed built on the property and have plans for a bunk house and other additions in the works.

It was pretty chilly but we set up a play area and let the kids run around. Here are some of the pics.....

I had a towel on the ground for him to play on, but that is so pointless for a 9 month old!! He of course wanted off of the towel to explore.....

Cute pic of brothers....they look like they are plotting something.....a couple of more months and we are in trouble!!!

Cade LOVES "fourwheeler" rides

Josh and his dad setting up the exterior heater....it seemed to help some

Brooks playing in the tent....happy little boy!!

Cade was very entertained with this pine straw and rake. He would "rake" it up and then come and hand it to me like he was bringing me flowers, I said it was the country boy way of bringing mommy flowers....so cute!! (I had a pic on my phone of him giving them to me, but of course my phone crashed and I lost it :( )

Brooks first 4 wheeler ride!

Grandpere and Cade...

Jumping on the trampoline...Hanging that toungue out just like his daddy does when he is concentrating....

Love the trampoline black face here....
Trampoline hair....
Brooks relaxing with DD....

And then we got to FINALLY go and meet Mason, the newest addition to our extended family. We got to experience the whole circle of life that day along with a wide swing of emotions!!  He is the second son of our best friends Tommy and Heather who live in Lake Charles (Ok so we aren't technically related but we consider them family). He was born on February 2nd and we had not made it over to meet him b/c of all of the sickness going around between all of our kids. So when we had to go for the day we HAD to stop by and see the little guy...he is precious, enjoy the pics of my newest little man!!

BIG YAWN!!! Life as a baby is so hard :)

Brooks and his buddy....

All four boys....oh the years to come are going to be so much fun!!!! Cade was very interested in the baby...

Cade blowing Mason a kiss...

Checking him out again....

Me and my newest little buddy....Such a cutie.....

The whole crew minus Heather and Tommy since they were taking the pic and attempting to get smiles.....

Happy Valentine's Day

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY FROM THE HEBERT BOYS.....

I am a lucky and happy momma/wife to have these two handsome boys and their handsome daddy as my Valentines :)

Houston Trip

Last weekend we went to Houston for a visit. We had a great time and I realize I am really late on posting this but we had a crazy week last week and then with Gris Gris' accident so I am a little behind.

Friday night (Feb 3rd) we went to Dani's talent show at her school. She was in two different acts. The first one was an "audition" for American's Got Talent and she pretended to be auditioning for a dance part and she was just a really bad dancer, on purpose :) The second act she did was to sing Carrie Underwood's "Undo it". She did great!! She got a little giggly at the end of her song but she still did a great job.......

Dani with two of her friends before the show
Silly girls!!
DD and Grandpere enjoying the g-babies
Dani on her "America's Got Talent" Audition
Here she is mid-dance move...NICE!
getting ready to sing it out.....
She is a natural....aside from the laughing :) She really did do good!!

The next day we had a day at the house, it was raining most of the day so we tried to stay inside.....Dani however got in trouble for something and spankings don't work on her anymore so her punishment was "intense" training by dad....up downs, squats, and rolling through the yard back and forth (I am sure there is a technical name for that one but not sure what it is). She actually enjoyed the exercising and then got to jump in the heated pool when it was all done. He was hoping she would be sore and remember her punishment over the next few days, however she was not and he was sore from just showing her the exercises....better luck next time dad :)

Then we all went swimming....it was Brooks first swim...he LOVED it!!

I love his little scrunchy face smile in this picture...so cute!!
Cade finally woke up from his nap and was able to join in on the fun....

That child loves the water!!!
So does our Dani girl!!
All of the family joined in on the fun....even me!!! (not pictured here but I am later)

Family Pic...although Cade was a little pre-occupied
Large family group pic, minus DD
Then we had a little inside fun, just playing...I love Brooks happy little face here....he smiles every time he sees a camera
Happy boy!!!
another happy boy!!!
Such a great big sister...she loves her brothers and they love her!!
Cute boys!!!
Cade was trying to catch his balloon.....
And here we have Aunt Mandie and Uncle Baine's farewell pictures. They bought their first home (pictured above) and yes it is a van.....they are taking about 6 months to travel around the US and Canada rock climbing and sightseeing before they settle into Colorado for a few years for grad/PHD school. They are living out of their van and you can see here they have it packed tight but very organized. They are laying on their bed and have storage all underneath. You can follow their blog here....they put daily updates up about their travels....we will miss them!!

Happy boy on the trip home....they were ready to get out of the car....we had a couple of break down moments!!
And here we are finally back home....glad to play outside. As you will notice you can see Gris Gris on his house in the background....this was his last picture....we miss you Gris Gris!!!!
Uh oh...someone is trying to escape to get outside!!!

It was a great trip to Houston....until next time......
