K3 Graduation

So it begins!! Cade had his first graduation to big boy life was today!!!! He graduated from K-3 class at his daycare, officially promoting him to Pre-K.

Now this is bittersweet for me on so many levels but mostly I am so thankful for the years he had at the daycare with all of his sweet friends and teachers. They taught him so much over the years and took such great care of him while I was working. I am thankful for ALL of them and am so glad that they had this sweet little ceremony for all of the children to send them off to Pre-K school!

Mrs. Stacey gave a sweet speech for the kids and then read from the book "Oh the Places You Will Go".

The kids began to get a little wiggly....

And then it was question and answer time....
Each child was asked the same two questions:
"Cade where is somewhere you would like to go?" Cade: "A Party!!"
"Cade what do you want to be when you grow up?" Cade: "Captain America!"

There were some very cute answers, you will need to make sure to check out the video for all of the answers, but Cade's definitely got the most laughs...crazy boy!

They even got "official" diplomas!

Lastly they closed with a prayer!

They had a nice little reception afterwards complete with cake and punch!

Cade doesn't look excited but these are two of his friends that have been together since they were babies!! Bree and Robert. Bree is moving away and we are so sad, but Robert and Cade will continue on together at Pre-K school!

These are Cade's sweet teachers, Ms. Kay and Mrs. Eleshia.
Ms. Kay is the newest teacher at the daycare, but Cade and Brooks both love her and she is a lot of fun!!

Mrs. Eleshia has literally been taking care of the boys since they were babies!!! She has such a sweet heart and a true passion for children. Both of my boys love her so much. Sadly she is moving away and Brooks will not get to finish out his daycare "career" with her, but we are so thankful for her time, love and care that she has given to our boys and family and she will be greatly missed, but always fondly remembered!

Lastly, we have Mrs. Stacey who has been the BEST daycare director ever!! There are no words to describe how grateful we are for her passion and love for children, especially my boys!! We have been with her from the beginning, even changed daycare locations to follow her as she pursued her passion and opened her own daycare. She has been a gift from God to our family. Luckily she gets to put up with us one more year!!

So proud of my precious, handsome, smart little man Cade!! I cannot believe we have already celebrated your first graduation of many to come!! At this rate you will graduate 5 times before high school!!! And you better believe I will be front row at every, single one!!! Love you so much and we are so proud of everything you are and will become.

Until next time!

Funny Picture Friday- Best Buddies!

These two stick together like Batman and Robin!! We love watching them grow up together...the older they get the more exciting it becomes!!!

Most days I have my little country boy (Brooks) and my superhero (Cade) but occasionally they both like to be supers for the day!!

And at night, they still stick together!! So thankful they have each other.....love these boys so much!!

Funny Story Friday

What are they doing you may ask??!!

Making soup of course!

They were playing outside in the back yard the other day, just talking away while I made dinner. They found a little mud hole, poured Booski's water bowl into it and started using sticks to stir the water around. When I asked what they were doing, they said "We are making soup for you mom, you are going to LOVE it!!" Cade told me it has all the food in it your need!!

They were pretending rocks were fruit snacks, grass was veggies, and wood chips were the "veggie sauce" (whatever that is). It took them about 30 minutes to perfect their soup...luckily I wasn't asked to taste test it!!

Outside Time

The weather has been great lately and the kids have really been enjoying playing outside!

Here are a few pics.....

This is from the church outdoor water day they had! The boys were a little hesitant at first, but quickly warmed up to the little pools and water slides. Didn't take long though until they requested to go home and play where it wasn't so crazy and crowded...so that's what we did!

We hooked up our water hose and they had hours of fun!

Booski has even loves to join in on the play time outside!

Our new favorite summer activity since it is sooooo hot....pool time!

Splash pad fun at Greenwood Park!

Relaxing in the pool with their best buddies!

Stay tuned for more summer fun days outside!
