Dani's 13th Birthday

Happy 13th Birthday to Dani!!

 

This year she wanted to celebrate with a laser tag party....so of course we agreed, easy clean up for us and not much work and tons of fun for the girls!! We got the cute invitations made above and texted it to all of her friends and the mommas...and off we went to Laser Tag of Baton Rouge!

 

You know me, I had to get some pictures of these crazy, cute girls before the games began!!

We had a private party room!

And the girls were ready for their first game of laser tag! The best part is, we got the whole laser tag field to ourselves because we were the only birthday party being held at that time!! 

 

I even played the first game.....

 

And guess what??!! I tied for first place! Don't mess with me and laser tag!

The girls got to play two more games and they all had a blast. The boys and I watched from above in the viewing area as Josh and the girls played away! 

 

Then it was birthday cake time...or better yet, cupcake & present time!!

And then we let the girls and boys play some of the arcade games....

 

And at about 8:30 we headed back to the house. It was a great party and Dani was very thankful, she said it was the best party ever!! Which she says that every year, but I am glad we keep improving every year!! We now officially have a teenager in the house!

Funny Picture Friday

This is Brooks little "girlfriend" Avery. He talks about how beautiful she is ALL the time and usually every morning he asks if he can bring her a sucker to school.

Unfortunately Avery  is moving to a new city and will no longer be in school with Brooks. He was heartbroken when he heard the news and even cried...young love is tough, lol!!

So I had to get some pictures of them on her last day. The first one cracks me up because you can see how embarrassed he is. I kept asking him to scoot closer, and so finally she did and I got a smile out of both of them.

You may notice Brooks holding his shirt, he was a nervous habit that when he is nervous or uncomfortable about a situation, he plays with the shirt tags on his shirt. Funny fact about my little sweet man :)

Funny Story Friday

We had to take Dani to a dermatologist appointment and I had to take the boys with me because Brooks had a mole on his ankle I wanted her to double check. So our wait time got a little lengthy!! You can tell they were thrilled to be there.....

 

Eventually though they decided to play a little hide and seek!! Luckily the doctor has three boys at home so she didn't seem to be bothered by their laughing and silliness!!

Just a few good shots of the little and big men in my life!! I am so thankful God chose ME to be the wife and mommy to them...sometimes I sit in awe of how lucky and blessed I am!!

I love that Cade and Brooks have each other to grow up with and share life with!! It is such a joy to sit back and watch them teach, play, discover, create and adventure through life together!!
