Field Trip!

The boys had a field trip with Daycare to the Pumpkin Patch on October 29th to Broadmoor United Methodist Church!

Cade got to ride on the school bus for the first time!!!! He was so excited!

I however, did get to ride with him because Brooks wasn't quite old enough to ride, so we drove right behind!!

They were both so excited!

Cade and his best girl friend, Stella! He was trying to act cool...no smile for him!! Hehe.

All of the kids had a blast playing the games, decorating pumpkins, riding on the hay ride, and jumping in the inflatables.

Brooks even got in a turn catching some "fish"....

Their favorite part though was jumping in the jump houses!! This is the first time Brooks has EVER jumped and not screamed crying to get out! They had a blast together!!

We ended our trip with "story time" with Grandma. They got bored with that pretty quickly so I had to go sit down with them. I think it is safe to say my kids are not story time enthusiasts!

What a fun field trip!!! Brooks had a blast on his first field trip with his big brother!

Cade did not want to ride the school bus home, so we all piled in the car together and went to McD's for lunch!!

Championship Swim Meet

Dani had her final swim meet on October 26th. 

 

She swam great, as always!! Her time was right around where she has been the whole year! She was in Lane 6 for this race. 

 

For the final race of the year, she was in lane 2 for the breaststroke. 

 

Best thing is she had a HUGE support group!! Not pictured are her mom and her grandma....way to go Dani, we are all so proud of you working hard and swimming great this year!!!! 

Funny Story Friday

The other night we told the boys to go put on their night, night diapers. (Most nights they can make it all night without pottying, but for my sanity and sake of doing laundry repetitvely, I opt for the overnight diapers)



Brooks came back in laughing....two diapers, both put on wrong and was so proud for doing it "all by myself"! Sweet lil thing, what do you do...but just laugh and take a picture??!! And then of course help him fix it before he goes to bed....

Caramel Apples

So almost two years ago on vacation in San Antonio, TX Aunt Mandie promised to make caramel apples with Dani!!

 

Well life took over, things got busy....but the idea was never lost! Aunt Mandie is a woman of her word and held up her end of the bargain...finally :)

 

 

Step one: stick the sticks in the apples

 

Step 2: Heat up the caramel, and dip away!

 

Yum Yum!

 

Step 3: Melt the chocolate and dip!!

 

Extra step....don't let Dani lick the chocolate spoon!!

Double yummy!!

 

Step 4: Enjoy!!  

 

We love Aunt Mandie and always have fun when she comes in town for a visit!! Stay tuned for the Baby Breaux gender reveal party tomorrow night....what's your guess for the sex of the new baby??!!
