Opera Louisiane

Dani was part of her first Opera as part of the Greater Baton Rouge Children's Choir. They sang a couple of songs from the Sound of Music for the Opera Louisiane.

The kids did a fantastic job. I can tell you Opera is not my style of music, but it was an enjoyable night of something different and we got a babysitter for the boys so it was a date night too!!

The director for GBRCC is Mrs. Ellis, on the left at the picture below. She had a couple of solos and did a fantastic job!!

We are so glad Dani is getting all of this exposure to different styles of music through GBRCC!! She really has enjoyed being in the choir this year! Stay tuned for her spring concert in May!

Funny Story Friday

I had to go and pick up jambalaya for a part we were having so the boys loaded up their jeep and daddy hooked up their "trailer" aka wagon and we took about a mile walk to the Jambalaya Shoppe to pick up dinner!!

Valentines Day

Here is a peek at the Valentines Day treats I made for the boys' class this year!! Thanks to Red Stick Moms blog, I was able to print off this adorable label and fill up the small plastic bags with gummie worms....super simple and super cute!! My kind of Valentine!

The morning of Valentines Day I tried to get a picture of them but after 4 attempts, I gave up....crazy boys!!

Brooks' class decided to do a little questionnaire for Valentine's Day on "What do you Love"..his first ever posted on the door of his classroom....

 

 

My heart melted when I saw his response, especially in comparison to all of his friend's responses!!

Be still my heart....that boy loves his mommy!!!

 

His sweet teachers saved this one for me to keep and I will always cherish it!!

Cade got asked the same questions....and well you can see where his mind is...superheroes & toys!! But I like to believe he really loves me the  most too :)

Parker's First Birthday Party

 

Last weekend we took a little trip to Moody, AL to celebrate this little guy's first birthday!!!

We had a great time playing and getting to visit with family!

 

 

Parker is starting to try and walk so it was fun to watch him get so excited walking around!!

 

 The boys looked so cute in their matching PJ's...except Brooks, he doesn't like to constraint of the onsies!!

He does love his Uncle Russ though!!

We even got to visit with Great Gramme and Pa!!

It was a fun weekend and I am so glad we were able to be there to celebrate the big #1 for Parker!!! Looking forward to many more birthday parties to come!!

Kids say the Darndest Things....Again!

These always crack me up!! Since Cade got a new teacher recently they haven't been as frequent, but I make sure to take pictures when they have them because I love to see their responses.

 

This one cracks me up....apparently we need to work on our letter "L", bc swim definitely doesn't start with a L!
