Fun Family Weekend

So not only did we have a birthday party last weekend, but we also had Disney  on Ice, a crawfish boil, family celebrations and were hoping for a Tball game and even a choir concert. Unfortunately due to the uncooperative weather the tball game got cancelled but all other activities were able to commence!!

But the weekend began with family traveling in from the 5 different states of Florida, Alabama, Washington, Texas and Mississippi!! WOW!

So we kicked off the weekend with Poppa and Rara's birthday present to the boys at Disney on Ice!!! Luckily RaRa was able to make it in time to come along with us!

They got some Mickey popcorn and settled right in, anxiously waiting the show!

The show was great and enjoyed by all!! They had all of the Disney movie characters, Mickey characters and even some surprises like Buzz and Woody!!

Friday the boys enjoyed a fun day at home with Uncle Russ and Rara while Dad was at work, Dani was a school and Mommy ran around like a crazy woman in the rain trying to get ready for their party and rearranging the plans due to the rain!! Rara stayed home and helped cook and prepare food for the weekend!! HUGE help! Always thankful for my  little momma....if you every wonder where I get my energy from, it's her!!
Later Friday night the rest of the family began arriving!!

Justin, Iris, Briggs and Parker were the first ones to arrive!! We had a short little birthday party for Briggs and some cupcakes to celebrate his birthday while we were all together!!

Parker enjoyed his cupcake!!

Well to be honest we all did because those cupcakes were YUMMY!! Parker scraped every last bit he could up....even off the concrete!! LOL...not really, we didn't let him eat it off the ground, but he tried!

Then The Hebert's arrived and I finally got my hands on my niece, Adelaide!!! Thankful she was able to come for the weekend! We know that was a long trip for all of them but she did great in her travels and it really did mean so much that they were able to be here to celebrate and enjoy the weekend with everyone!

The next day after the boy's party, we kept the party going and we had a little mother's day/birthday gathering and crawfish boil with all of the family. Even Baine's family came in town to see Adelaide and also to celebrate Baine and his brother's birthdays!

Adelaide got some serious loving all day from her grandparents on both sides!

The eating was good for all!

We even got a cake made to celebrate the Breaux birthday boys!

Happy birthday guys!

Next up, Dani's Spring Choir concert with Greater Baton Rouge Children's Choir. See here for more on that. But we are thankful all were able to attend!!

And lastly we had a nice mother's day church service and lunch out in St. Francisville with the Heberts, Breauxs and Burnhams.

I got in some more loving before it was time for sweet Adelaide to fly home north! Miss her so much already!!

We ended the weekend with a slight injury....This little guy was playing in the mud near a truck tailgate and jumped at just the right angle, busting his head right open!!!

I wasn't with him when it happened but was called to the back door by his screaming and was greeted by POURING blood ALL down his face, shirt, pants, shoes.....EVERYWHERE!!!!

Luckily it looks way worse than it was. With a little pressure and TLC, he was good to go shortly after!! Thank goodness no stitches were needed. Advil was given though for the pain that I am sure he felt afterwards!

That was my second heart attack of the weekend.....You can see below that part of the neighbors fence is missing, which as you can probably guess was my first heart attack of the weekend given to me by my sweet inherited child, Dani!! Read here for more on that!!

Despite a few mishaps we had a FANTASTIC weekend!!! We were all simply exhausted in the BEST way possible, meaning we partied until we couldn't do it any more!! We are so grateful to everyone that took the time, money and effort to come for the weekend!! It always makes me so happy to have everyone together for special  moments as these!! We always cram so much in since we all live so far apart. We certainly treasure the memories made and look forward to the next time we can all spend time together!! Love you all and thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Until Next Time!
