First Annual Christmas Party

On December 1st we had our "First Annual" family Christmas party with all of our good friends from college and high school. We usually all try to get together but this year we decided to make dinner and draw names for all of the kids and just have a fun night to get together. Luckily everyone was able to come (except we missed Anna Claire b/c she was sick).

On the menu we had lasagna, salad, bread, and some yummy cupcakes, cookies and strawberry Santas for dessert.

We even got a group picture and everyone was participating, looking and not crying...which with this many people, was a miracle!! Thank goodness for camera timers.

All the girls...I have such beautiful friends!! Love them all...

All the guys...

All of the kids played SO well together!! We didn't have many fights at all and it was so much fun just sitting back and thinking about how all of our lives have changed since we all first met....we are all so truly blessed to have each other and all of our healthy, adorable kids!!!

Gage, Noah and Grady gave us a little puppet show behind Dani's puppet stage....

At one point all of the kids were in the living room playing while the dads were watching football and the moms were finishing up dinner and talking....and it was amazing they were all just happily playing together!!

Spider man buddies!! Gage had a little accident so he had to put on his extra clothes...which influenced Cade to change from superman to spider man...those boys are just too cute!!
Then they got to open their presents....Now that was CRAZY!!!! of course they all wanted to help each other and then they all wanted what the other one had.....but it was so much fun watching them tear into everything...

Cade got a dump truck from Noah & Anna Claire, Brooks got a sleeping back and some fun little toy camping tools from Grady & Andi and Dani got a cute monogrammed blanket and a feather hair kit from Anna Clair & Noah!

Group picture

All the boys wanted to sit on the 4-wheeler....I wonder what this will look like 5 years down the road...by then they will probably all be sitting on their own 4-wheelers and let's face it, no pictures will be posed for!!

We had so much fun getting together. However we decided next year we will have the present exchange and then hire some babysitters for the kids and the parents will go out to eat so we can actually have adult conversation!! It was a great kick off to our annual Christmas celebrations that hopefully will continue for many years to come!!

Until next year....
