Happy 3rd Birthday to Cade!!!

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY TO CADE!!!!

His teacher made him a crown for his birthday party at school yesterday and it took some bribing to get this picture, but he did it so that he could go fishing!!

It seems like just yesterday we were going to the hospital preparing for our first born son!!!!! It was a very anticipated day that changed our lives forever in the best way possible!!!!

Cade is such a joy in our lives. He is incredibly smart, loving, and caring but he is also a true little boy and loves to be mischievous, adventurous and has quite an imagination on him!!

Now for the fun birthday facts about Cade:

Cade is now in the Pre-K class at school and he is learning how to write and starting to learn his letter sounds.

Cade's favorite food is still pizza and anything sweet. He loves mandarin oranges and grapes. He is still not much of a meat eater but sometimes if you tell him it is a chicken or a cow and he better hurry and eat it before it gets away, oddly enough, he will eat it.

He loves to sing songs. His favorites are "tinkle tinkle", Jesus Loves Me, Jingle Bells, and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song.

His favorite toys are any types of superheros, superman, batman, spiderman and iron man. He also loves trains, airplanes, swords and four wheelers. He loves to play t-ball in the backyard, go on walks, go fishing and drive his jeep.

Cade is a great big brother. He always tries to teach Brooks things. He will "read" to him, show him how to play t-ball, he takes care of him when we go places by taking his hand and saying "hold my hand Brooks", "Come on Brooks".

He has a big heart and has always seemed to be very caring to others. He still loves to give me kisses, snuggle, and he tells me he loves me often. Quite the opposite of his brother!! I often say God knew what he was doing making Cade the older brother. Brooks may not have been as caring!!

Cade still loves to dance to the Mickey Mouse song. This is something he did from a very young age and it has carried through until now. He surprises me sometimes when he hears music in public places he will just start dancing.

Cade used to be my shy child, but he is starting to come out of his shell lately and has started showing off when we go into public. Strangers used to make him shy, but now he just strikes up a conversation with them!

We are still working on potty training. It has been a challenge for both of us, but we are slowly making progress!!

Your teacher often tells us how smart you are. Of course we already know that, but it is nice to hear that from others. People are often amazed that you can count to 25, say and recognize all of your ABC's, shapes, colors, and animals. You are sometimes too smart for your own good which causes some defiant behavior such as refusing to go to the potty or participate in artwork at school. I believe you get all of that from your daddy!! I hear he got bored easily in school and didn't like to participate in those "silly" art projects.  However, he is honestly one of the smartest people I have ever known, so if that's how you turn out I will be a very happy momma!! Sometimes I think you just know what you want and you aren't letting anyone tell you otherwise....that comes from me :)

You and your brother love to play in mommy's car. When you do that you like to buckle all of the seatbelts and carseats, which causes a problem when I am in a hurry and trying to put you in your car seats, so as I was struggling to unbuckle them all I looked at you and said "Son sometimes I could just pop you when you do this!" You looked at me as serious as ever and said "Mommy, you can't pop me, you pop balloons". Well, you were right and I couldn't argue with that??

Another story from daycare, one day Mrs. Dani was trying to get one of the children to get down from the table as she was telling the child your feet belong on the ground. You were standing next to her and she said "Cade can you tell our friend where our feet belong?" and you replied "Hayden, our feet belong in our shoes!!". Once again, can't argue with that!!

I can finally ask Cade the birthday questions that I started with Dani a couple of years ago. I love his answers!! And he had fun answering them. He was thinking hard on some of them!!
