Cade's first week in Pre-K!

Cade and Brooks both moved up to big boy classes in March.

Cade is now in the three year old class and his teachers are Mrs. Fronick, Ms. Dani and Ms. Angel. The first week was a little rough for him because they had to make him go to the potty, he didn't want to participate in any of the artwork, and refused to put up his jacket or plate after lunch.

However, after his first week he was begging to go to his new class in the morning and he has started participating in artwork and he even goes to the potty now without screaming. Slowly but surely he is improving. We have determined he is my strong willed child and while he CAN potty, do artwork and is smarter than most children in that class he just sets his mind to things and holds strong to his preferences. Let's hope that will serve him well one day in life, but as for now, he has to learn to obey!! He is doing much better and is loving his new class now.

Potty training is still a struggle...see here for more on that!!

This was his first day in his new class.....

Something else he did his first week in his big boy class.....write his name!! That's right, Ms. Dani wrote the Cade on the top and then he copied below and she said he did it all alone with no help. I have not been able to get him to do it since, but you better believe it is hanging on our art board and it will forever be saved!!

Brooks also moved up to the two year old class the same day Cade moved up. We had to wait until Cade was some what potty trained to make the transition...well since that wasn't really happening we just moved them both up.

Brooks was pretty used to being in the classroom with his new friends because he had been visiting frequently over the last few months. His first week went great!! He actually is almost FULLY potty trained now!! I am pretty sure he is going to pass up Cade. See here for more on that.

He loves his new friends and teachers and is such a big boy when I drop him off. His teachers are Miss Eleshia and Miss Latoya. We love them both!! I tried to get a pic of them, but he screamed b/c he thought I was trying to leave him so stay tuned for that!

And our favorite new addition to the daycare....

MISS GLORIA!!!

She kept both of the boys when they were babies at the old daycare. She took over the director position at the old daycare when Mrs. Stacey left but just recently made the switch as the new baby caregiver and we are SOO happy about that!! We love  Miss Gloria, we have to go and visit her everyday and she ALWAYS has a treat for the boys!!
