Brooks Update

Brooks=the cutest definition of TROUBLE ever!!

This sweet little man is full of energy and mischief. His attention span is about 1 minute and he is off to get into the next mess. He loves to play with cars, read books, and anything he knows he shouldn't!! Really the only way you can get him to sit still for an extended period of time is to read a book to him. He will scoot his little behind into your lap and sit there for as long as you let him!

He likes to help daddy mow the yard....

And he acts just like his daddy!! He has no fear of any situation and laughs in the face of danger.....literally!!

The boy likes to eat and is usually super messy when he does!! Usually after he takes a bite he wipes his hands in his hair....this pic is one morning after he ate grits, you can see the only real way to ensure he is clean is just give him a bath!! And when he is finished eating he rarely gives you warning because he thinks it is funny to spike his plate on the ground, causing all leftover food particles to splatter onto any surface remotely close!!

Isn't he just pure sweetness in these overalls??!!

This is his classic smile, scrunched face, LOVE IT!!

And this is his scrunchy face he gives you when he just doesn't like the situation he is in...haha!! Our caption for this picture is, "don't you take a picture of my mommy"!

As you can see right about his left eye, he fell and his his head on the stairs outside. We are working on his balance. Until then he usually has a bump or bruise somewhere on his poor little head to prove he is still unstable!! Most of the problem is he wants to be big like his brother so bad and just tries to keep up and can't quite hang!!

This picture is from two incidents in one day, the first line you see is where he fell and hit his head on the bed frame of the bunk beds. Then later that day at church he was running to catch up to Cade and fell on the concrete and got a little strawberry on top of the bruise from earlier that morning!! As Dani said..."Poor little guy". And as the ladies at church said, "Maybe we should get him a helmet!"

The child gravitates to water and is usually completely soaked before you even realize it!!

He likes "ridin dirty" (aka naked).....he pooped all over himself this night when we were outside, so as I was cleaning up the mess he jumped on the 4 wheeler in his birthday suit and took off!! He quickly realized getting stuck naked, is never fun!!

Like I said the boy loves playing in the water....Bath or no bath!!

Here he is below eating his first chicken nugget happy meal, while shopping in Wal mart!! (he had two bug bits on top of his eye, apparently he is slighty allergic to mosquitoes because every time he gets bit they swell up and turn really red)

We were having a mommy/Brooks play day, daycare said he was sick, I think he was just playing hooky to get some attention, either way I loved spending the day with this little guy! He may act like his daddy, but in the end he is a momma's boy!!

And here below we have his first time out at home....he is still biting kids at daycare and just last week re-commenced biting both Cade and I at home. The other day I decided to try time out, I was a little worried he was too young and wouldn't understand, but to my surprise it went over well (for me at least). He was so heartbroken and sat there for 2 minutes crying until I told him he could get up and of course was immediately happy and understood it was time to get out of the chair!! He hasn't bitten either of us since though...until next time!

Brooks keeps us entertained and very busy!! He is so precious and many people say to me, there is no way he is bad, he is just too cute!! They are right, he is cute, but oh yes, he is bad too!! He is all boy and we are thankful for that but I still can't help but think that he is going to be the one we are going to constantly struggle to have to keep alive!! He just seems to always get hurt no matter how close we watch him. Brooks gives us many laughs and provides us a lot of entertainment with those sweet little mean faces and his constant mischief!!
