Last weekend, Brooks got to attend his first LSU football game on September 7, 2013 in Tiger Stadium. They played UAB and won 56-17!!
It started out as a rainy, HOT day so we were a little worried about the weather...but decided to go and chance it!
The boys were excited and were already cheering "Geaux Tigers"!!
We were going to be late for the game, but luckily there was a rain delay so we hung out in the car for a while....but then everyone had to go potty!! So luckily the little guys were able to just go as they pleased!!
Mommy however, not so lucky.....
First time I have EVER done anything like this but it was either port-a-potty no telling how nasty and far away walking in the rain or a McDonalds cup in the car!!! Hey when you gotta go, you gotta go!!
After 30 minutes of waiting in the car it was time to geaux to the stadium for pre-game and the first home game kick off of the 2013 LSU season!!!
The boys ran ALL the way to the top of the stadium....I was slowly behind them!! That is the part I dread every time going to the games!!!
But we made it and they were so excited!! The atmosphere was great, the fans were excited, it is that time of year again that we all love here in South Louisiana....LSU time!!
Here it is....Brooks first picture in Tiger Stadium!!
Once we got in the stadium it stopped raining, it was nice and breezy and wound up being great weather!! As any tiger fan already know though, "The chance of rain in Tiger Stadium is NEVER"!!!!
Brooks had so much fun clapping and dancing to the music!! There were times when he would just stop and stare in amazement!! I am sure it is a lot to take in at that age...meeting "98,000 of your closest friends"!
This picture is so sweet...I love how Brooks is holding his hand and they both are so intensely watching the game!
Cade had fun as well!! He is a true little tiger fan! He was showing Brooks how to do all of the cheers and clapping when they would make good plays and cheer when it was time!!
Brooks choice of first food in Tiger Stadium...Nachos!! Good choice buddy!
We left at halftime since it was getting late and the Tigers were doing a great job whipping up on the other team! So we stayed by the stadium while Daddy went and got the car for us....the boys were just being so silly!! They had so much fun!
What an awesome memory, I will never forget that we got to experience as a family (minus Dani, she was at her mom's house that weekend). Josh and I love doing things like this with our kids that not only mean a lot to us but also help to carry out family traditions!! We look forward to many more games that we can bring the boys & Dani to and enjoy as a family!!
Until next time......Geaux Tigers!!!!!
