Happy Birthday Cade!!

I seriously cannot believe it has been 5 years since my first born, little boy was born!!!

For his birthday Cade wanted to go to the zoo, so that's exactly what we did!! Luckily he was out of school for spring break, so I packed up the three boys (Dani was at her mom's) and we had our first major outing by ourselves...call me crazy, but we are in the business of making birthday wishes come true around here!!

First stop at the zoo was the train ride...they picked the very last seat because Cade wanted to be the caboose!

Of course, as always, Judd was a little sleeping angel!!

Cade was telling EVERYONE it was his birthday! He was so proud!

Brooks was being a little stinker and avoiding my request for a picture while taking in the train ride scenery of the swamp at the zoo!

First stop of the Zoo animals were the tigers....

Next, were Brooks favorites...the zoo squirrels!! Yep, not an actual caged zoo animal, but every time we saw a squirrel you would have thought he found an elephant in the tree!!

We continued our zoo trek.....

And lastly we made a stop at the park for a little snack so I could feed the baby!

The next birthday surprise was lunch at Chickfila and then a surprise trip to the toy store so they could pick out toys with the birthday money they got from the great grandparents!!

Later that night we had a dinner celebration complete with cheeseburgers and macaroni and cheese per request of the birthday boy! And then we let him blow out his candles on his yummy cookie cake!

Then it was time for the birthday present of them all!! A couple of weeks ago the boys went to a boat show and the boys sat in one of these little ATV's and that gave Daddy an idea for their birthday....and let's be honest, he was kind of excited about it as well!! We were able to find a used on in great condition and we have hidden it for a couple of weeks. When we asked Cade what he wanted for his birthday, he said one of those things from the boat show that we sat in....well perfect!!!

They were so excited when they saw that their birthday wishes had come true!

Safety first!! This is a little Polaris Ranger...it goes 30 mph, but of course Josh throttled it down to only go 8-10 mph with the boys in it! Cade quickly became a really impressive driver in it. It only took Josh showing him once how to use the controls and he is very impressive to watch....maybe a better driver than me!! Thankfully he is the more cautious of the two. Brooks isn't quite big enough to reach the pedals and the steering so Josh rode with him a few times to let him press on the gas and brakes to start getting used to the feel of driving.

They spent hours riding on it around the property. Fun and great entertainment!!

So in closing, I leave you with pictures, one from the day Cade was born 5 years ago to a picture from today!! Isn't he so handsome??!! We are so thankful that God chose us to be Cade's parents. He has been a joy to be around every second of the day with his sweet, loving, caring personality. His intelligence is beyond impressive. He has turned into quite the social butterfly lately. Cade used to be a shy little boy but now since going through Pre-K, he doesn't meet a stranger. He continues to shower me with kisses...he literally will kiss from my shoulder all the way down to my hand if I let him. He is very creative and has a great imagination. He likes to figure things out such as puzzles, toys that transform, or just a simple problem that arises as they play together. I look forward to watching him continue to grow up...it is actually rather scary to think about him growing up in the world we live in today but I know that his life is in God's hands and for that I know that he will continue to flourish and grow into a godly man that will continue to be a light for Jesus and a joy to be around!!
Happy 5th Birthday Cade!!
