Egg Hunts for Easter!

It's that time of year again, Easter is just around the corner!!

Of course Easter time is most important because it is the time that Jesus died for our sins and rose again eternally giving us the gift of salvation, praise the Lord for that blessing!!!

Easter is also a time for fun with egg hunts, egg baskets and bunnies. While we don't fluff all of that stuff up big time at our house, we do like to let the kids have some fun with friends and participate in school activities all while making sure they understand the real meaning of Easter!!

First egg hunt of the year was the annual friends egg hunt at the Gould's....

We even got a great group picture, Judd included as the special basket décor!!

Next up it was Cade's school egg hunt, which also coupled with his birthday celebration since they were out of school on the day of his actual birthday, hence the birthday crown!

Cade even had a special guest come along for the egg hunt, me, Judd and Grandpere was in town and stopped by for the event!! Cade was so proud to show off Grandpere and his new baby brother!

Cade was so funny to watch because he was determined to find the golden egg!! They all lined up on the sidewalk and his teacher told them they all were going to find 17 eggs, but first they were all going to find 3 eggs and then come back to the sidewalk. So off they went, but Cade was on a mission to find the golden egg because it was the special egg!! He did not pick up a single egg because he was searching for the gold one. Finally all of his class was back on the sidewalk and he was still searching with not an egg in his basket yet. Between his teacher and I we had to coerce him to pick up three eggs so that the egg hunt could continue!! It was so funny to see his determination to find that golden egg. Next they had to find 4 eggs and unfortunately during that round another friend found the golden egg, but Cade was sweet and told him good job!! He was now able to get the rest of his eggs with less pressure!

Next up was Brooks' egg hunt on the same day, so Grandpere got to make his second special appearance for the day!

Cade got to redeem himself and he made sure that Brooks found the golden egg!!

It was yet another fun season of egg hunting, but once again how important it is to emphasize the real meaning of Easter is Jesus Christ....HE is risen indeed!!
