Dani went on her first mission trip this year with the youth group to Clevelend, TN.
They left at 5:30 in the morning on Sunday morning....pulling off in vans and buses!!
They had a few adventures during their travels up to TN, two flat tires and the AC broke....but they eventually made it to their destination about 12 hours later!!
This was her painting team for the week.
They restored several homes while they were there. Dani's team painted the outside of a house and the porch. Others teams restored roofs, built ramps for houses, and did other minor work on homes in the area.

This is the girls in their painting clothes...they said they did actually get paint on the house!! Those clothes were beyond repair when Dani got home though and were thrown in the trash!!

The last day they went white water rafting down the Ocoee River. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the actual raft ride but Dani said it was very scary, but in a fun way!! She did get bumped into the water on one rapid, but she said she climbed back in the boat quickly and made it through the experience!!
We are thankful she had the opportunity to go this year on the mission trip!! She said it was very eye opening to see how other people live in poverty, it made her very appreciative of everything she has. She also got to experience prayer walks, bible studies, worship time with the youth group and even had a chance to witness while walking the streets.
What a great experience...our hope is that she grew closer to God during it all!! Thanks FBCZ Youth group for a great trip!!
