January Star Student!!

We are very proud of our little star student for the month of January!! He got picked by his teacher for his class for his good behavior and generousness to his classmates!

We got to enjoy his star student lunch with him where he got his certificate and medal as his awards!

We were asked to fill this out for Cade so that Ms. Trahan could display it on her door:

Then he was supposed to color it, however since he really, really doesn't like to color, he cleverly responded that "It is already black, my favorite color, so I don't need to color it"!! Ok then, who can argue with that??!! 

We are so proud of Cade! He is such a light to our lives, intelligent, handsome little boy!! It makes me so excited as your mommy to know that God gave you to me and that I get to watch you grow up, learn and love in your years ahead!!

30 Weeks

Daddy killed a Deer

After a couple weeks/weekends of hunting at the 119 property, Josh killed the very first deer on the property!!  A nice 7 point! The boys and I headed out there once we got the news, luckily Dani and Grandpere were already there to enjoy the first kill!!

They had to get a little creative when it came to cleaning the deer, strapping it to the beams of the barn and hiking it up with a rope!!

Cade refused to get close to take a picture with the deer, but the other two had a little fun! 

You can see the results of daddy's perfect shot!! Not many people out there shoot better than him!

Hopefully this is the first of many more to come!! Thankful that I get some more meat in the freezer!

Best friends think alike! This is Brooks best friend at daycare named Caleb!! They are good buddies and they both love the outdoors, hunting and fishing! They love to exchange stories about what their daddy's kill during hunting season. You can see, they both love to combine their camo patterns and they are happy little buddies!!

We popped some fireworks at the 119 Property to ring in the New Year! We were missing Dani being with her mom, but we had fun celebrating and had an early bedtime for these boys and pregnant momma!!

 

We are looking forward to all that 2015 has in store for our family!!!
