Happy Birthday Cade

FOUR YEARS OLD!!!!

 

I cannot believe that four years ago today we were welcoming Cade into this world!! He continues to make us so proud, he is so smart, funny and definitely charming!! Every day brings something new and he never ceases to surprise us with things he says or does. From his caring little heart to his deep thinking we are looking forward to the years ahead with our little man continuing to make us proud parents!!

 

 

As you probably already know, he is slightly obsessed with super heroes!! Every day he has to have on a superhero shirt, unless it is Sunday!! However, I made an exception for his birthday of letting him wear whatever he wanted and shocker....he chose Captain America!!

 

Which was a great choice because after church we surprised him with taking him to see the new Captain America movie in the theatre!

 

He had so much fun eating his popcorn, candy and was fully engaged in the movie!! Brooks not so much, but we all had a great time and it was a really good movie!

 

That night we celebrated with presents and cake with a few of his friends!

 

Of course he got some superheros, transformers and a personalized book about him being a little superhero from Paper Hat Press. He thought that was really cool that his name and our family was part of the story of him being a superhero!

Some fun facts about Cade:

 

-He LOVES superheros

-He loves to play dress up in costumes

-He has a big imagination

-He is a very deep thinker...like his daddy! Sometimes when you talk to him he will just give you a "blank" stare, but really he is just soaking it all in.

-He is pretty independent. He loves his mommy and daddy at certain moments but most of the time, he doesn't want to cuddle or be told what to do....he just goes at his own beat of the drum!

-His favorite food is cheese sandwiches, mom's spaghetti and meatballs and he loves boiled (not fried) shrimp and crawfish

-He loves to sing, sometimes it is songs he has learned and most of the time it is something that he makes up as he goes...which is just simply adorable!
-He loves to put things together such as train tracks or puzzles. He enjoys a challenge and is very patient in taking his time to figure out how things work....also gets that from his daddy!

I asked him what about Brooks and he said "No!! Brooks is my brother!!"

What is your favorite thing to do? "I like to help someone!"

Who is your favorite superhero? Superman, the Hulk, Captain America and Spiderman

What do you like to take to bed with you at night? the lighter man

What do you want for dinner on your birthday? COOKIES!!

What do you want to be when you grow up? Superman!!


 



 

We had a fun day celebrating Cade and we are so excited about the superhero birthday party on May 10th! What a blessing Cade has been to us. Parenting is certainly not always easy but the moments of watching your children grow into sweet little men, making you proud when they hit their first baseball, or watching their excitement when they do something and see how proud you are makes every single second of your life worth it!! I am thankful for Cade's sweet, loving, caring personality! I am grateful that he is so healthy and energetic. I love his silly comments and funny songs he makes up while playing!! I look forward to the years ahead celebrating his birthdays and special occasions! I thank God every day for choosing me to be his Mommy, what an overwhelmingly, honorable task I have! I hope I make my heavenly Father proud for entrusting in me one of his greatest treasures!!
