Cade had his first set of ear tubes last year on my birthday and a couple of months ago they fell out. Since then he has had two really bad ear infections so we decided that set #2 was inevitable.
So last Friday we set the appointment....and were told to arrive bright and early at 5 AM.
This is Cade checking out potential boats with Daddy before his surgery, he said we needed the 24 ft boat!!
And here he is with "his penny"...more on that to come later. He also has become extremely attached to "his hat" too. Great Gramme knits these hats for us and we LOVE them, especially during the winter time. It has become quite the staple item to have on Cade's head on any cold days!
And here is our sweet nurse checking his vital signs before his surgery...he was such a big boy!! Mainly because he had no clue what was about to happen.
And here he is with his stickers for being such a big boy, he was so sweet and gave me the Minnie Mouse one!!
He's all set to go back....crazy hair and all!!
He screamed when they took him out of my arms and back to the operating room, that moment is always tough!!
Cade did great!! He had lots of fluid in his ears that they had to suction out. When he woke up he was pretty mad about feeling a little crazy from the anesthesia. But he recovered quickly!! Those few minutes of him being uncomfortable are definitely worth it in the end when the ear infections are no longer!!!!
Hopefully there is not a next time for this post :)
