Rocket Launch

Josh and Dani decided one afternoon they were going to make some rockets...

 

So they gathered up their supplies,

 

 

Carefully assembled the rockets, which took about 3 hours.....

 

These are their serious, mean faces

 

Prepared for the rocket launch by doing a test launch.....

And BLAST OFF.....

 

Daddy had a couple of observers.....

 

And there is goes, it actually worked really well for being a construction paper rocket....I guess I should expect nothing less from the chief civil/structural engineer!!



 

Dani had so much fun with the rockets and trying to catch them as Josh would launch them. The mail lady just happened to be making her rounds at the same time they were launching and they got about a foot away from her car....we were all laughing so hard!! 

The boys were great retrievers, although they didn't always deliver the rockets in the condition they found them, which ultimately was the cause of the end of the rocket launch project....

Josh is such a great dad to all of our kids!! I love it when he comes up with these ideas and it brings the whole family together for a fun little day adventure. Here is to many more fun family day adventures.....
