Potty Training

We have begun potty training....

A couple of weeks ago, Cade asked to sit the potty. It took about 3 days of him just sitting on the potty to figure out how to TT, but once he did it, we celebrated and now he thinks it is so exciting/cool to sit on the potty.

The picture above was his first successful TT on the potty...Horray!! This was a huge accomplishment since every other time he got near the potty he would kick, scream, and refuse to sit on it. So we got the potty seat and as he was interested let him sit on the potty. Usually before bathtime or bedtime he sits on it and can usually go by himself.

Luckily, I caught this little moment below on camera....haha, he was caught in the action...I mean seriously it doesn't get much cuter than this.....

The only bad thing is he refuses to use the potty at daycare!! I even bought a second potty seat exactly like the one we have here and he would just scream and cry when the would put him on the seat. Soo....we have just kind of let it be a casual thing at home.

Now I realize all of my hard core potty training friends are probably getting eye twitches right now because as I have heard the best way to train is just take the diapers away and never look back. WELL...we have a 7 hour car trip next week and so I have held off until after that, then our potty training boot camp will begin. Until then, Cade is so proud of himself when he uses the potty and thankfully we haven't had many more toilet paper episodes....yet!!
