Month 2 Recap

A post full of pictures taken from weeks 4-8, month two of baby Judsen's sweet life!!

This baby is as close to perfect as they come!! He is always happy, sleeps great, loves to snuggle, rarely cries, and loves to eat, sleep, poop and pee!

He is as sweet as they come and can melt your heart with those sweet eyes!

And that's right...His heart does belong to Mommy!! If someone else is holding him and he hears mommy's voice, he will scream until I hold him and then he just settles in my arms. It's seriously the sweetest. thing. ever.!!!

Big brothers are still fascinated by his every move!! Who knew a baby could be so funny??!! I love that they adore him so much!

The only thing that is giving us a fit with Judd is his baby acne, we can't seem to get it cleared up! Regardless he is still as cute as can be and he is getting some serious rolls these days!

He is starting to smile and really follow you with his head and eye movements!

Sometimes his eyes still go cross eyed though, haha!! Too much stimulation can make him look like this...

He got to meet one of his girlfriends the other day, Emery Macker! Laying next to her he looks huge, even though he is still so tiny!

One of the sweetest pictures...it gives you a view of what it looks like from my point of view while holding him....doesn't he look so sweet and precious??!!
Brooks is a big helper!! He loves to help hold his bottle, which is a big help to me!

Tummy time has become a daily activity for everyone in the house!

Cade still loves to suffocate, I mean snuggle him!!

This child has the cutest little pot belly I have ever seen!

.
He is his brothers biggest fan...always supporting them at the baseball games!

8 weeks old here in this picture...how cute is he?!!??

Look how much he has grown in 4 weeks...crazy!

We love our "baby Judd" and he has given us so much added joy these last two months!! We are looking forward to watching him continue to grow and start becoming more interactive. Stay tuned for more updates and lots of pictures!!

Funny Story Friday

So recently Dani has had to learn some lessons the hard way!!

As you probably read already she recently went to Disney World with her school for choir. The band and art classes also went at the same time. A couple of days after she returned she and I were sitting in the living room and she blurted out that she has a boyfriend!!!

WHAAATTT!!!??? was my inside reaction but on the outside I tried to remain calm and ask her who, what, when, where, why, how!!!!!

Caleb Horn, a boy who she is around a lot at school and church, asked her to be his girlfriend on the trip. You could tell she was very nervous to tell me about it, mainly because she knew that she was not of age in our house to have a boyfriend, it just wasn't allowed yet. We haven't set specific rules on dating because so much of it is dependent on the individual person...but it was very clear that it wasn't allowed.

Later that night I made her tell her dad when he got home. Once again, it was another two hour conversation mainly trying to get her to realize that she was not in control of her life yet, not able to make these types of decisions without our approval and she eventually admitted that she thought about the fact that she wasn't allowed to date before he asked her and she said yes anyway!!

While we realize that her saying yet and having a boyfriend was more of a social acceptance more so than actually liking this kid, she was trying hard to argue that she really did/does like him more than a friend. Josh gave her some questions to answer by essay form and get back to him the next day with her answers:

1. Why do you have to be "going out" to hang out more together? (This was one of her reasons as to why she had a boyfriend)

2. What do you expect to gain out of this understanding of mutual affection?

3. What factors did you take into consideration and what lead you to say yes?

4. Why am I at a better position than my dad to make decisions?

5. How will the dating situation further your purpose for God and his glory?

She was sent to bed and told to return with her answers the next day. The next day rolls around and her answers were not quite good enough to convince her dad that dating was the right choice at her age, at this time in her life. However, she decided that she was going to continue the relationship to the next "stage" of questioning and allow Caleb to talk with her dad after church that night so that Josh could ask Caleb the same questions he asked Dani.

That night at church Josh took Caleb in a room with the door shut and discussed his intentions for the relationship with Dani for 45 minutes while Dani sat anxiously in the hallway waiting for any signs of life!! Finally after a long disucssion Josh and Dani rode home together and ultimately Josh just couldn't get past the whole "what was the point" of having a relationship at this age when you can't go anywhere together, you aren't mature enough to look towards the future of marriage, the relationship cannot be more than a friendship because of the circumstances and their ages. So in the end, Josh asked if Dani would date him and break up with Caleb so that he could teach her how she needs to be treated, loved, cherished and respected before committing to a real relationship. Sweet right??!! One day she will appreciate that I documented this, I hope!!

Stay tuned for more learning lessons for Dani!

First Day of Daycare

First day of daycare on May 4th, 2015. Mommy did great and had no tears, third time around is still tough but knowing I am leaving him in good hands makes it easier! Mrs. Debbie Perkins is still in the baby room at Bright Beginnings Daycare, which is who kept Brooks and she is fabulous!!!

They said Judd had a great day, he was just perfect. I even got this picture of him sleeping away around lunch time. I couldn't get home fast enough to get my hands on this sweet little man!!!

Disney 2015

Dani recently went to Disney World with her choir class from school. This is the second year in a row that she has gone for "competition"....I believe it's more play than competing but regardless it is a great opportunity for her to experience Disney with her friends and classmates.

They leave on a bus and drive all day, she was ready and wide awake that morning...more so than most!! Her excitement was evident!

They don't allow the kids to bring their cell phones so my pictures are limited, but she said they had a lot of fun. They got to go to all four parks, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

They did compete in the national choir middle school competition and received first place!!

She said her favorite part was riding the water rapid ride over and over again!!

Some of her friends took cameras so I was able to steal some pictures, it looks like she had a great time!! We are thankful for Mrs. Murry and Mrs. Daugherty for taking the kids and helping them to have a great time!!

We aren't sure if there will be a next time for this trip but she was certainly lucky to have this opportunity to go and get this experience. See here for more on how that happened!! She also came back with a new boyfriend....despite knowing she wasn't allowed to have one!! See here for more on that as well....

Disney 2015 was certainly a trip to remember!!

Funny Story Friday

Tornado warnings are no joke....unless you are at the dentist! Recently we had some very bad weather in Zachary and there was a tornado warning issued for about an hour. All of the kids were at school except Judd, he was with me at the dentist, being an angel as always!

I was stuck in the dental chair, and he was just snoozing away. Luckily no tornadoes were spotted. When we got home though I was given a full tutorial on how Cade had to sit in the hallway for an hour so that the "flying glass from the tornado wouldn't cut his head off!!" Oh man, the mind of a five year old!!
