Birthday Cake for the Birthday Boy!!

We kept the top off of Brooks cake from his party last week and let him indulge a little more for his actual first birthday.....

(Side note: excuse the mess in the backgroud, we were leaving for our trip the next morning)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BROOKS!!!!

Happy FIRST Birthday Brooks!!!!

I CANNOT believe it has been one year since this precious child was born!!! Brooks has brought so much joy to our lives over the last year. He has such an adorable little smile that warms your heart every time you look at him and he has an angelic face that makes you think he is the sweetest little angel ever....don't let that fool you though :) You can tell he has older siblings because he can certainly take care of himself!!

Some fun 1 year facts about Brooks since our last update at 11 months.....

-He is starting to take steps. If he thinks you are close enough for him to walk to he will just let go and start walking, until he leans too far forward and falls, so be prepared to leap and catch!!

-He has FIVE teeth coming in at once right now which gives him a total of 10!!! Let's just say we have our fussy moments!!

-He loves to play peek a boo....(see the picture above, he thinks putting his hand over his face is "hiding"...it makes me laugh every time!!

-He likes to say hold his hands up like "where did he go" every time he doesn't see Cade....it is super cute!!

-His vocabulary now consists of ball, duck, dog, bye bye, mama, dada, that, uh oh and that.

-He is a little speedster, he can steal one of Cade's toys and get around the corner faster than you can say "Brooks give it back to Cade"...it is halarious to watch the get away.

-He gets into everything now, pulling cabinets open, shutting doors, destroying toys. He loves to sit in chairs and look at books which is about the only time you can get him to sit still. He loves to play with Cade and you can tell he admires his brother so much. He tries to do everything Cade does and quickly figures out he is not big enough yet!!

-He is officially drinking whole mile and eating all table food, no more baby formula or food WAHOO!!

Josh and I are so thankful that God has blessed us with this beautiful, healthy, sweet, happy, and  loving little boy!!! We feel so lucky as parents to have such wonderful kids who bring so much joy into our lives. Life doesn't get much better than this!!!

Brooks' FIRST birthday party...

We had a GREAT first birthday party for Brooks on Saturday...Enjoy all of the pictures.....

Yummy food...I had to make it one and under appropriate since there were so many kids....

Party Favors as well as pictures of Brooks, 1 for every month since he was born....

The brothers getting the party started in tha ball pit which was quite a hit, especially for the little babies.....

The pool pad was quite a hit too for the younger ones...SO MUCH FUN!!! 

 

Ok this pictures cracks me up because is captures what Cade was doing for a lot of the party....he would RUN from pool to pool and jump head first into the pool and his head would pop out of the water, he had SO much fun!!! By the end of the party he had Wyatt jumping in with him.....

 I think both of my boys are going to be fishermen...he carried his fishing pole around most of the party!

Little buddy was all pooped out after opening his presents, he just sat back and relaxed....

That's why they call it a smash cake....

I heart these girls and babies!!! Oh how life has changed over the years...

The birthday boy and daddy are all pooped out....

What a GREAT party...thanks to everyone who came to support our little man turning one and to everyone whose thoughts were with us during the party.

I know it was so tough for my family not to be there, but less than a week and we get to celebrate all over again!!
